This concept was developed to streamline or significantly optimize the number of processes required by the user while trying to access a premises secured by a biometric system.
Most biometric entry control systems are usually an after thought and not integrated in the door handles’ initial design. This setups requires two distinct devices: The Biometric access control and the Mechanical locking device. This concept integrates both functions into a single device.

The finger print scanner is placed at the doors handle, within the reach of the thumb to maintain the classic door handle’s user interaction . The biometric system augments the tradition key locking system as an added layer of security.
